WRAL reports about several construction companies, one owed $220,000 to creditors and stole one family's $20,000 deposit check.
The company then filed bankruptcy.
In a THIRD WRAL story, they received eight complaints about a company owned by Andy Debnam who stole $15,000. He was arrested on fraud charges, but the homeowner's know they will never see their money.
In a FOURTH WRAL story, Raleigh fence company ended up taking $11,000 from customers.
In a FIFTH WRAL story, a contractor stole $100,000 in deposits from customers.
All of this proving that it is extremely hard to find reputable companies in Raleigh.
Whether it is two or twenty days, any contractor who gets a check ahead of time, USUALLY has some type of cash flow PROBLEM. They are getting an advance from you weeks in advance in order to pay other debts. You hear about this on the news all of the time. A customer get ripped off and cannot finish their project because the contractor they hired ran off with their money or they delayed starting your project for days or even weeks after your start date, and GUESS WHAT?? You can't hire someone else because you already gave them A THOUSAND DOLLARS or MORE ahead of time right? Some companies have NO ETHICS or MORALS. Our company is NOT one of them.

Installers that do not give you any paperwork are the one's that end up having the most problems. Even if a company gives you a one year workmanship warranty you won't likely have problems UNTIL MANY YEARS LATER when the wrong nails they used rust out and the pickets and rails FALL OFF!
