This fence was installed a couple of weeks ago in downtown Raleigh. I don’t install many fences downtown, and this one was definitely interesting enough. The customer had gotten several estimates already when I arrived to do my free on site estimate. After I finished my estimate, she decided to hire us to install the wood privacy fence she wanted.
The first thing I needed to do was call in for the underground utilities so we didn’t accidentally hit any lines that may have been buried in the fence line. Usually NC One Call can have all locates finished within 48 hours of calling them. This is a free service, and is required in the State of North Carolina before you dig.
Second on our list was to make room for the new fence to be installed. This particular house in downtown Raleigh had a chain link fence on one side that had been there for many years. Also, there were red tips (shrubs that grow red leaves at the top and are usually small) that had over grown to about 15′ tall. Additionally, some small trees had grown into the chain link fence so that the trees were intertwined with the chain link.
Land clearing is not usually our business, but I made an exception for this customer as she had dogs that were getting out and couldn’t get anyone to do install her fence quickly. Raleigh Fence Contractors, LLC. cut down all the Red Tip shrubs (trees) down to around 42" tall, and removed the small trees that were interlocked in the chain link fence.
As you can see from the pictures I provided, the fence we installed was a simple 6' wood privacy fence.
The fence line on the back of the property line had field fence and t-posts installed, which we also needed to remove. Although these posts generally go in the ground fairly easily, these did not come out very easily. Once they were removed, we were able to install the wooden privacy fencing along the back line as well.
After completion, the customer was very pleased with our work, and praised my installers for there work ethic and general courteousness.
