Aluminum Fence Installed in Garner, NC

This week, Raleigh Fence Contractors, LLC installed another ornamental aluminum fence in the Garner, NC area.

This particular aluminum fence, was 235′ in length and 48′ tall. It also included one walk gate 4′ wide.

The installation took only one day. Normally this fence would take a couple of days installed by one of my other crews, but this crew that installed this fence hustled to beat the weather that was coming our way.

This yard in Garner, NC had a slope that required special cut sections to be installed to accommodate the terrain. As you can see from the pictures, we were able to keep the fence tight to the ground while installing the fence on a steep grade.

Installation of Aluminum Fences on Steep Grades

The simple answer to this question is YES. Of course, there are limitations to installing aluminum fences on slopes or hills.

Raleigh Fence Contractors, LLC installed this aluminum fence this week in Bedford.

This particular fence consisted of 195′ of 4′ tall ornamental aluminum. The neighbor had installed 5′ aluminum, so part of that side of the yard was already fenced.

The customer wanted 3 gates, consisting of 2 single wide (4′ wide) gates, and 1 double gate (8′ wide). The gates were outfitted with Magna Latches for safety. Magna Latches are required for 4′ fences in this state when the fence is used as a barrier for a pool. This yard did not have a pool, but the owner has young children, so they were installed as a safety feature.

Our manufacturer does a great job when it comes to installing ornamental aluminum fences on steep grades. Since we purchase directly from the manufacturer, I can have panels custom cut, helping to achieve a custom installation on steep grades.

Of course, there is the option of “stair stepping” the panels when climbing a slope. This method of installation keeps the sections level, but usually you end up with gaps under the fence which small children or animals can get through.

Including all the gates, the magna latches, and the custom punched panels, this fence was installed for less than $21 per foot. Considering all the upgrades, that is a great value for an ornamental aluminum fence.
